{"id":15667,"date":"2023-01-12T14:43:57","date_gmt":"2023-01-12T23:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andvsa.org\/?post_type=avada_portfolio&#038;p=15667"},"modified":"2024-07-24T12:37:57","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T20:37:57","slug":"client-advocate-prevention-specialist-cordova-family-resource-center","status":"publish","type":"avada_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/andvsa.org\/blog\/job-postings\/client-advocate-prevention-specialist-cordova-family-resource-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Client Advocate\/Prevention Specialist | Cordova Family Resource Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 fusion-flex-container nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"max-width:1216.8px;margin-left: calc(-4% \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-4% \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p><strong>Client Advocate\/Prevention Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CFRC is hiring for two full-time Client Advocate\/ Prevention Specialist positions!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Full-time position up to 40 hours per week, hourly employee<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To:\u00a0<\/strong>Executive Director<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advocacy Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess immediate safety of victims.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate appropriate follow-up services and safety checks.<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance in areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and crisis intervention.<\/li>\n<li>Client advocacy.<\/li>\n<li>Village Coordination.<\/li>\n<li>Attend appropriate workshops and trainings.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate crisis advocacy services as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate records.<\/li>\n<li>Be informed and current on pertinent laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in volunteer recruitment and training.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in public relations and presentations.<\/li>\n<li>Assist clients with ATAP, Denali Kid Care, SSI, and SSID Application process.<\/li>\n<li>Take on-call for the 24-hour Help Line\/Text line.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to on-call SART\/CAC calls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prevention Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish needs as indicated by the community.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and facilitate all CFRC prevention programming and activities Collaborate with other community agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Educate community about CFRC prevention programs.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and co-facilitate community Surveys\/ Assessments, revise Community Prevention Plan and ongoing evaluation of all CFRC Prevention Programs Communicate with Executive Director on progress\/problems etc.<\/li>\n<li>Attend all prevention training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People orientated experience preferred, will receive on the job training.<\/li>\n<li>Some knowledge and\/or interest of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, family dynamics and crisis counseling.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Reliable<\/li>\n<li>Organized<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow through with projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with limited oversight.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Basic Knowledge of Interpersonal Violence (DV, SA, Child and Elder Abuse).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Prevention.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Social and Ecological Model.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of CFRC and community an asset not required.<\/li>\n<li>Complete 40-hour Crisis Intervention, SART\/CAC and Mandatory Child Abuse training within first 6 months.<\/li>\n<li>Other Duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in human service field preferred, but not required.<\/p>\n<h5><em>These positions are subject to change depending on funding streams.
