Additional resources help survivors access permanent housing, emergency funds, and statewide legal and advocacy tools to rebuild safety and stability.

ANDVSA remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking by providing comprehensive legal support across Alaska. Our holistic approach ensures that advocates guiding survivors through the civil and criminal justice systems are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge. We offer robust training, technical assistance, and essential resources, including:

Legal Program:

Our legal program is at the forefront of advocating for survivors, offering representation and support primarily in the civil justice system. We work closely with local and state partners to ensure that survivors receive fair and just outcomes. We provide victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with brief advice and direct representation in civil legal cases, including divorce, child custody, protection order, housing, consumer and other civil issues. We can also provide limited assistance in enforcing victim rights in criminal cases.
- How to Apply for Legal Services
  - If you need civil legal assistance, please contact the member program in your area and ask to speak to an advocate. Advocates are trained to support survivors and can help you apply to ANDVSA’s Legal Program.
- Legal Information and Referral Hotline
  - The legal information and referral hotline is available for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who want basic information about their legal rights and options and referral information. The hotline is staffed by a volunteer attorney and runs the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.
