Domestic Violence Awareness Month Toolkit & Resources

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is a time to raise awareness, strengthen support for survivors, and remind every Alaskan that ending domestic violence takes all of us.

Created by the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault (ANDVSA), this toolkit includes a month’s worth of ready-to-share social media content. We invite individuals, organizations, advocates, and community partners to use these graphics and messages throughout October to help share information, connect people with resources, and encourage meaningful action.

This Month’s Focus

Access
Every community deserves access to safety, information, advocacy, and survivor-centered services—regardless of their location.

Prevention
Preventing domestic violence begins with education, healthy relationships, community connection, and addressing the conditions that allow violence to continue.

Action & Support
Awareness is where we begin. Action is how change happens. Supporting survivors may look like listening without judgment, sharing trusted resources, wearing purple, donating to a local program, or speaking up for policies and systems that promote safety.

With Survivors, Always. Across Alaska. Every Community.

Every community deserves access. Every community can take action.

Share the Toolkit

Download and share the campaign graphics throughout October. Use the Toolkit Guide to understand the campaign, follow the suggested posting schedule, access ready-to-use captions, and find instructions for downloading and sharing the materials. Editable Canva templates are also available so you can add your organization’s logo, website, or local information.
